I am a Psychological Associate. I have worked in a variety of settings, including family health teams (primary care), federal prison, private practice and regional hospitals.

I was previously a teaching professor.  I have experience in supervising medical residents and psychology interns.  I have extensive training in Motivational Interviewing (MI), exposure based therapies (prolonged, cognitive processing) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT).

I have authored several scientific research publications and book chapters in the areas of playground politics (bullying, peer relations, social hierarchies), narcissism, mate attraction, mate competition, intimate partner violence, aggression, status striving, hormones (testosterone, cortisol, oxytocin), jealousy, the neurobiology and evolutionary roots of addiction, the sociobiology of crime, psychopathy, Machiavellianism, extra-dyadic romantic unions from the perspective of the interloper, countertransference, therapist self-disclosure, psychoanalysis, clinical supervision and multi-cultural counselling.

At Odyssey Health Services, I provide interdisciplinary assessment and treatment services by providing individuals with restoration in their quality of life so that they can thrive again and flourish once more.  I help facilitate the process in individuals by supporting them in closing their gap between ‘how they are today’ and ‘how they wish to be tomorrow’.

When I am not working, I enjoy time with my friends and family, BBQs, beaches, exploring new places, card games and music.
