Mindfulness at Work


Mindfulness is about being fully and openly engaged in the present moment.  At work, we are often pulled in many different directions which can make being mindful a difficult task.  Incorporating mindfulness practices into your work day can help you:

  • Increase productivity
  • Limit distractions
  • Maintain focus
  • Improve efficiency
  • Manage stress
  • Improve problem solving and decision making
  • Improve communication skills

Mental Health in the Workplace


It is usually obvious when an employee has the flu or a physical injury and misses a few days of work, yet it is not as obvious when an employee or colleague is suffering with mental illness at work.  We often ask employers the following questions to assess whether our educational programs could benefit their workplaces:

  • Do you understand mental health challenges?
  • Do you know how to identify when an employee is suffering with mental health difficulties?
  • Do you know how to handle mental illness at work?
  • Do you know what strategies to incorporate into your workplace to help reduce and/or prevent work-related mental illness?
  • Do you understand the impact that mental illness can have on employee productivity and performance?
  • Do you know the risk factors in the work environment for mental illness?

It is uncommon for employers to know the answers to all or even any of these questions, as it is not usually their area of expertise – which is where we come in.  We have developed a program to teach workplaces about mental illness and the impact it has at work when not dealt with appropriately.  Contact us if you would like to learn more about Mental Health in the Workplace!
