I am currently the Senior Executive Officer of Odyssey Health Services. I was a Clinical Psychologist with 35 years’ experience treating chronic disability problems such as various chronic pain syndromes, chronic fatigue syndromes, fibromyalgia, mood disorders, anxiety disorders as well as complex comorbidities.
I obtained my Ph.D. in Psychology from McMaster University in 1984. I then joined the Behavioural Medicine Unit of St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton. I taught for the Psychology Department of McMaster University, in Hamilton Ontario, Canada from 1979 until 1994. Publications of mine include studies of the treatment of various chronic disabilities including Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Chronic Pain, and Headache as well as Biofeedback and Visceral Learning. I am a member of the Canadian Academy of Pain Management, the Canadian Pain Society, the International Association for the Study of Pain, the Society of Behavioral Medicine,and the Ontario Psychological Association.
Outside of my professional work, I most enjoy time with my family: my partner, our children and grandchildren. I also enjoy photography, baseball, listening to music, reading and regular exercise, usually jogging.
