I graduated from Dalhousie University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. I am also a Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CSEP-CEP) and a Certified CSEP High Performance Specialist. I am certified through Fitness NB as an Older Adult Fitness Specialist, Step Fitness Specialist, Choreography Specialist and Resistance Training Leader.
With over 25 years’ experience working with a variety of age groups and specialty populations, my goal has always been to find out what people value to make their lives richer, fuller, and more meaningful. I have experience working with clientele with both mental health and physical injuries, such as work injuries, motor vehicle injuries, concussions, veterans, or long-term disability patients. As a Behavioural Therapist, I focus on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Behavioural Activation (BA) to support patients in reclaiming their lives by changing their behaviours through meaningful activities designed specifically for them to move them towards what matters to them most. The best part is that it is different for everyone.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and three children, being active, playing basketball, sewing, and reading.
