I am a Registered Kinesiologist with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario (COKO), and a Registered Psychotherapist, with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I earned my Undergraduate Degree in Kinesiology and Health Sciences, a Master’s Degree in Exercise and Nutrition Science, and a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology.
Throughout the course of my career, I have grown and strengthened my appreciation for a holistic treatment approach, understanding that the obstacles to health are often multi-faceted. My goal in therapy is to help individuals get back to living their most valued lives, whatever that may look like.
I am experienced in using techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Behavioural Activation (BA), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I also have extensive experience creating and delivering physical conditioning programs for individuals with acute injuries and chronic conditions. I work with adults who have a wide variety of presenting mental and physical health concerns, often in combination. This has included depressed mood, chronic pain, anxiety, grief, trauma and interpersonal relationship problems.
When I am not working, I like to spend my time cooking and being physically active outdoors.
