I am a Registered Kinesiologist with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario (CKO). I hold a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph and a graduate certificate in Exercise Science and Lifestyle Management from Humber Institute of Technology and Advanced learning.
I have experience working with youths and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, post-concussion symptoms and chronic pain as a result of motor vehicle accidents and work place accidents. My roles involved using evidence based research, therapeutic exercises and other therapeutic modalities to treat injuries and musculoskeletal disorders and to improve movement and performance, ultimately improving the quality of life.
I am currently learning and developing clinical skills and experience in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Behavioural Activation (BA), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, exercising, going for a run, and spending time with friends and family.
