I am a Qualifying Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I have graduated from The University of Ontario Institute of Technology with an Honours Bachelor of Medical Science and from The University of Ottawa with an Honours Bachelor of Social Science, specializing in psychology. I obtained my Master of Arts (MA) in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.
I have both education and experience utilizing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Behavioural Activation (BA), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT).
I have extensive experience working with children, youth, adults, couples and families experiencing various difficulties including depressed mood, anxiety, grief, trauma, stress management, borderline traits, substance use, bipolar disorder, and workplace challenges. My experiences have led me to use various modes of administering treatment, ranging from in-person, community settings, phone-based sessions, inpatient units and secure online video counselling. Through the course of my career, I have learned the importance of bringing forth a holistic approach to treatment, integrating all elements of health. I believe that everyone deserves to live a life of value and meaning and it is my honour to be able to support each individual in their journey.
In my spare time I enjoy reading, soccer, volleyball, yoga, hiking with my two dogs, horseback riding and spending time with both family and friends.
